Size Guide

Getting the size right first time saves you a return. Below you will find our full measurement chart, how to measure yourself properly, and notes on fit.

HOW TO MEASURE

The most reliable method is to measure a garment you already own and wear comfortably, then compare it to the chart below. Lay it flat, smooth out any wrinkles, and measure without stretching the fabric.

If you prefer to measure your body, use a soft tape, keep it level and snug without pulling tight, over light clothing or bare skin.

  • Bust. Measure around the fullest part of your bust, under the arms and across the shoulder blades, keeping the tape level
  • Waist. Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel. Keep one finger between the tape and your body
  • Hips. Measure around the fullest part of your seat, with your feet together
  • Length. On a dress or top, measure from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the hem
  • Inseam. On trousers, measure from the crotch seam down the inner leg to the hem

The tip that works: rather than going by the letter on the label, compare the measurements to something already in your wardrobe. Sizing varies considerably between brands.

Conversions between US, UK and EU sizing are approximate by nature, because the three systems use different scales. Always go by the measurements rather than the size you usually buy.


FIT NOTES

  • Between two sizes? Take the larger one if the bust or hip measurement is the tighter of the two. A little room is comfortable. A piece that pulls is not, and it will not stretch into fitting
  • Relaxed and oversized pieces. Anything described as relaxed, oversized or boxy on its product page is cut deliberately larger. If you want a standard fit in those styles, consider sizing down
  • Fitted styles. Bodycon dresses and tailored pieces run closer to the body. If you are in doubt in those categories, take the larger size
  • Fabric behaviour. Cotton and cotton blends may shrink slightly on the first wash. Following the care instructions keeps this to a minimum
  • Stretch. Where a garment contains elastane, it will accommodate a little more than the chart suggests. The composition is listed on each product page


MEASUREMENT TOLERANCE

Measurements are taken by hand and are approximate. A variation of up to half an inch, or roughly one to two centimetres, can occur between individual garments of the same size and between production batches. This is normal in textile manufacturing and is not a fault.

If a piece you receive differs materially from the measurements published here, contact us within 30 days with your order number and photographs. We will replace it or refund you in full, at your choice, and we cover the return shipping.


IF THE SIZE IS WRONG

It happens, and we have made it as painless as we can.

You have 30 days from delivery to return anything for any reason, and we pay the return shipping in every case. UK customers also have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days.

We do not process direct exchanges. The quickest route is to return what you have and place a new order in the size you want, so you are not waiting for the return to be inspected first.
